What to Wear

Nameless Creative- Vancouver- Fashion Blogger- Blogger - Blog Post- Wear to work

These last few months have really been a roller coaster ride. The beauty of social media is that there is such a facade into what is really going on. Having said that, I went through a job change and that proposed a challenge in itself. I took time to work on my blog, but had to go to interviews at the same time. And boy oh boy, I’m a little afraid of what we think is professional. I may not be an expert, however, there is a time and a place where you wear your jeans, and when going to an interview maybe think twice about it.

The outfits I have chosen were actually worn to interviews. My shoe obsession always prevails and is a great ice breaker. This shows my creative side, but also allowing to stand out from the crowd. I could go on and on about this. I also don’t understand how some resort to the black suit. It’s boring! And no matter your age, wear a little colour it goes a long way. Working at J.Crew taught me so much in how to coordinate with colours and patterns, but overall mixing it together. It took time to come together, but I also push the limit on myself. Sure you are thinking that there were the perks of working in a store. I’ve always had a flare for fashion and see how far I could push the limits. And I want to help others to do the same. The best advice I can give is try it on. There is no pressure to have to buy anything, but try it, you just never know! If you are really unsure walk away, then come back. The whole purpose is that you tried something you never would have picked up. Maybe you’ll fall in love with it or maybe you’ll hate it more. Regardless, try it! If in doubt, send me a message, I’m happy to chat.
